From May 28 to 29, the 2025 Wire & Cable Innovation and Development Forum was successfully held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

The presentation explored the critical role of measurement technology in wire and cable quality control.
In his presentation, Zhang Xu pointed out that diameter measurement is one of the most critical processes in wire and cable production.
Measurement accuracy directly affects product yield, material consumption, and manufacturing costs.
Any measurement error may not only result in economic losses during production, but may also lead to serious quality issues at the customer end.

covering diameters from 0.01 mm to 120 mm.
The solutions are widely applicable to bare wire, insulated wire, copper wire, conductors, composite cables, and other wire and cable products.

During the presentation, Zhang Xu highlighted the TL Series diameter gauges and
DLS Series laser length and speed meters.
With advantages including high stability, broad application coverage, and high measurement accuracy,
both product series have already been successfully deployed on multiple production lines.
Based on telecentric optical technology, the TL Series is designed for both dimensional measurement and lump-and-neck-down defect detection.
Measurement accuracy can reach ±0.50 μm, with repeatability of up to ±0.03 μm and a sampling rate of
46,000 measurements per second per axis.
The system can maintain accurate measurement performance even in production environments with heavy dust, water mist, or vibration.
Based on the laser Doppler principle, the DLS Series provides measurement accuracy of
±0.05% and repeatability of ±0.02%.
The non-contact design eliminates wear and significantly reduces maintenance and calibration requirements.
