In the past, DALA's H1-S handheld laser micrometer has earned recognition from users on production floors for its high accuracy, stability, and portability.

For on-site spot checks of fine wires, the device is ready to measure right out of the box. No complicated installation is required, and it delivers consistent accuracy, making inspections convenient.
As the H1-S has been adopted at more production sites, we've continued to hear one straightforward request:
That's why, at the Shanghai Cable Industry Exhibition, DALA officially introduced the new H10-S Large-Diameter Handheld Laser Micrometer, extending the measurement range of DALA's handheld laser micrometers to larger diameters.

The existing H1-S is designed primarily for measuring fine wires, with a measurement range up to 1.000mm, while maintaining high measurement accuracy and portability.
In actual production, however, many wires have diameters beyond this range.
While retaining its handheld design, the H10-S extends the maximum measurable diameter to 10 mm, covering a wider range of wire sizes.

Especially at production sites where inspectors need to move between workstations, frequently switch specifications, or cannot conveniently install an in-line laser micrometer, handheld measurement offers a more flexible approach to quality spot checks.
A larger diameter range is not the H10-S's only improvement.
To address vibration, movement, and the need for fast measurements on production floors, the H10-S uses a telecentric optical measurement system.
An LED collimated light source illuminates the target, creating light and dark regions on the CCD through a telecentric imaging lens. Image-edge detection algorithms and software then analyze the image to calculate the target dimensions.

In addition, the H10-S uses high-speed exposure components, helping it capture clear images even when the workpiece vibrates or shifts momentarily, thereby reducing measurement errors caused by vibration.

In addition to accuracy, the H1-S has earned users' trust through its stability and durability.
With the H10-S, DALA has likewise made long-term use a key consideration in product design.
For measurement equipment used continuously on the production floor, fewer components requiring maintenance mean less burden on users.

The H10-S supports data acquisition and analysis, data storage and export. It also supports Wi-Fi transfer of parameters to a computer, making measurement data easier to review and process later.
As a result, the H10-S makes it easier to perform on-site spot checks, quality verification, mobile measurements, and data retention for larger-diameter wires.
