September 21 marked the opening of Wire China in Shanghai.

On the first day, DALA Measurement's E1D66 booth welcomed a steady stream of familiar and new faces from the morning onward.

Some visitors headed straight for the equipment they were interested in; others came with specific production-line issues to discuss. Some watched a live measurement demonstration before talking with our engineers about the principles, accuracy, and applications.

Based on inquiries on the first day, CV surface defect detection, the TL series integrated diameter and bump measurement system, and wire-drawing die aperture measurement products, were among the products that attracted the most attention and inquiries.

When wire runs at high speed, can small defects be detected in time?
To what extent can issues such as scratches, dents, bulges, and foreign particles be identified?

For the TL series, one question came up more often: Can a single device measure both wire diameter and surface bumps?

At the wire-drawing die measurement area, discussions about aperture, bearing length, reduction angle, and measurement efficiencywere also very detailed.

Building on the H1-S, which already serves high-precision measurement of fine wires, the H10-S further extends the handheld measurement range to 0.02–10 mm.

Building on non-contact speed and length measurement, the new model also supports zero-speed measurement and forward/reverse direction detection, making it better suited to production scenarios involving starts and stops, reverse movement, and changes in direction.

The first day of Wire China has ended, but many conversations are just getting started.
